Afterburner problems with 5970

Thread Starter
Why is it that when I use afterburner to OC my Asus 5970 as soon as I do anything to the clock speed everything hard freezes? What am I doing wrong? I don't adjust anything else, just up the core even 25mhz = freeze. In catalyst I can up it to 800/1100 no problem with no voltage increase. Clearly I'm missing something. It's my first time using afterburner obviously. Thanks

use the 1.5.01 version. unlock everything in settings. increase by 10 for each. do it one at a time from core clock to mem clock. follow the 5770 overclock thread/faq
