Yea, I think the only psu that corsair designed themselves is their new ax series psu (which is flippin amazing by the way) but the rest of their line up is either made by seasonic and some by CWT if I'm not mistaken.

So I just went to Tiger Direct and selected 700 plus PSUs and sort by customer rating. This Corsair made the first page and it's rated at 60A on single rail. A little bit more cash, but looks good.

Here's the whole first page...

If you can spare the extra cash I would say go with this seasonic.

I dare you to fry that bad boy. Has a 80+ gold rating.

Seasonic gets a 91% 5 star rating. That in itself says something. But it's $50 more.

Thread Starter
I picked up the TX650 from Corsair. I haven't installed it yet because I'm at work but I'm really afraid it took other stuff with it.

Newegg's PSU calculator said I needed something that provides 618 watts. Can this tool be trusted?

How do you guys feel about the TX650? Seems like a lot of folks use it.

Those psu calculators might work for some people but for most, I would ignore them. However, that psu seems to be a pretty baller choice for your system, it should handle it without a hitch.
