My friend, never refuse an excuse to upgrade. Though back to serious, like I said personally I don't think it is the motherboard. That doesn't mean it couldn't be it, but that's just what I think. If you do you want to try a new motherboard, Newegg has an open box Asus 890GX motherboard for $107.99 + shipping. There's also the one that doesn't have USB 3.0 for $99.99 + shipping.

Your problem is not the motherboard, it's the chip.

Although it's not a problem really, it's just that it wants more vcore, nothing else.

I have the same, I can do 3.8GHz con my 965 BE C3 with 1.36v but I need over 1.52v to get 4Ghz stable... Kinda sucks, but staying at 3.8Ghz for not, it's good.

I saw people that did 3.8Ghz on stock vcore, and I can't.

It's just a matter of how lucky you are when you buy ur processor.
