Crossfire problem-M4A79 Deluxe

post #1 of 5

Ok So I got my 2nd card and have a problem.
Crossfire is enabled, 2nd gpu shows in GPUZ, all fine. Appears in CCC. ATI overclock utility the 2nd card shows Zero temps and zero clocks.

MSI afterburner shows the temps ok. Also neither card temps are coming up in speedfan which is odd as the 1 I had used to.

you seeing the power saving 2d settings. when you get into a game the second card will kick on and youll see it in CCC (youll see it if you run somthing like 3dmark in the background)

Cool thanks. Next question. In the PCI-E bios menu there are a few options;
GFX Dual Slot Configuration
GFX Dual Slot Configuration
Peer-to-Peer among GFX/GFX2
Slot Power Limit

How sould I configure? I have the 1st card in the top blue slot,2nd black, 3rd (physX) card in the next blue.
The Physx card is the only card showing PCI-E X 16 2.0, the other 2 are x8. (which is normal for this board)
I want to keep the cards where they are and have 1 HD5870 @ X16 2.0, other @ x8 and physX @ x8.
Also if I disable the physx Card in the CCC would I be able to get x16 for both HD5800s?
