...Crap.

Thread Starter
I've messed up my watercooling. I spent the whole of yesterday cutting the top of my case open, drilling holes, screwing things in, and I've just discovered that the place I've screwed the radiator blocks the motherboard.

Is there any way to correct this apart from cutting another whopping hole in the top, and covering the existing one with a fan grill? "/

My case is an Antec p180, and the radiator is 240mm.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

What has been done cannot be undone.

Kidding

You could possibly make the hole a little larger and have the radiator extruding up out of it.

ok, good news+bad news. I had another go at it, and managed to fit it in. However, because of the roof, I had had to buy longer screws earlier. Unfortunately, apparently one was too long. I screwed it in all the way, and there was a loud crack. I ignored it, worrying a bit, but reckoning it was ok.

I just tried to fill the loop. It worked, but then I turned on the pump, carried on filling, and turned to look how it was doing, AARGH! Bright red fluid everywhere!

I mopped it all up (after it had gone all over my motherboard ) and then checked out where it'd come from. Yep, the radiator.

So, now I have a punctured radiator, and need to get a new one, and redo this loop. Unless anyone has any ideas on how to fix a radiator puncture?

Anyone got a rad for sale?

You could try solder.

Also, there's a MCR220 in the FS section for $35 as of earlier today.

Ah, sweet, thanks very much!

EDIT: apparently unless you're amazing at soldering, that can easily clog the loop I've seen JB weld mentioned, but I can't work out how to get to the water channel thing, can't get past the sticky out bits you screw into... :S
