Will an LGA-775 Backplate Fit an LGA-1336 Board?

I need to know if the LGA-775 backplate that i have for my LGA-775 board will fit an LGA-1336 board.

That depends if the 1366 board has holes for 775. If not then it won't work. Some of the motherboards do and some don't. Tell us which motherboard it is and we can be for sure.

I'm 100% sure it has socket 775 holes put in along with socket 1366 holes.

Even if it has holes it is kind of hit or miss. My board (1156 mind you, but same idea) said it fit 775 coolers, and it had holes for them and they lined up. But the backplate for my old zalman cooler did not fit 100% right and applied too much pressure so I didn't use it.

Yes and no.
Certain 1366 boards like my Asus Rampage II Gene have mounting holes for 775 coolers, meaning you can fit a 775 backplate and cooler.

Others may not have this feature.

Even then, exercise caution with the mounting.

most boards wont let u, as the socket is a big bigger, some baords make both holes like mine, it has 775 and 1366
