Ok, i don't think anyone in the right mind would buy an Extreme Edition CPU and NOT overclock it, does you dad not trust you with overclocking? at a stock of 3.4 with turbo, its still decent, but its like buying an Audi R8 for your gradma? and you have water cooling too? you MUST be taking the pish?

And you have proof of this where? Btw, most cpus will stop working at 1.9v unless under ln2 or DICE.

i suggest you do some more research on your own before you speculate.

check out my sig, i took my i3 to 5ghz on water and that was pretty stable at 1.59v. At 1.60v i got it to 5.2ghz, only thing holding me back was my mother board.

want a good ocer buy an i3 or a celeron 3xx.

Since i cant overclock the 965 srry i promised it with my dad

i wanted to buy the 920 to overclock but my dad said buy the 965 and dont overclock. i didn't want to but he forced me T_T
I just got my LOL for the day.

Son: "Hey dad, this CPU is only $200 and most people overclock it to 3.8 without a problem. How cool is that I can save you $400!"

Dad: "Nonsense!! No son of mine is that saavy! You're going to pay 3 times as much, and run it slower dammit 'cause there will be NO overclocking in THIS house!! You're going to pay more and get less, just like our family has always done!!"

I'm picturing Danny DeVito in "Matilda" as the dad.
