Voltage troubles? - Page 2

Another quick question then:

Is it possible to up the HT ref.clock (it is still stock at 200) to gain a higher OC without having to up the VCore? Or doesn't it matter VCore-wise whether one ups the multiplier or HT?

There seems no way to disable Active Core Control? I have only the following options in BIOS for this:

Core 0
Core 0,1
All Cores

If you up the HT ref clock, you will need to commit extra voltage to the HT link. If you increase your multiplier or your HT speed, you will need the juice to support the speed. The higher the frequency here, the more voltage you will need.

Then leave Active Core Control, though it is strange that you cant disable the feature.

That voltage thing happens, if Load Line Calibration is ENABLED (Crosshair III mobo)
