Deleteting Searched Files and Folder Names?

On windows 2000 when you go to Search files and folders and you type in john to do a search then you go back later and do a search for any other thing that starts with "J" john will apear as a saved search, why does it do this and how do you delete it? also it does the same thing for google's search
