Mobo needed to push 2.4A to 4 GHz - Page 2

yeah, i'm not willing to take the step into more exotic cooling then an aftermarket air solutions, so no complaints from me.

oh and good luck, i have a northwood CPU at 2.4 with an Asus P4P800. i know i can hit 2.8 since i've done it before, but it was on a stock cooler. keep us updated.

The p4p800 is def the way to go, I had that setup with my 2.4a and I was getting 4.1 with my custom wc setup so you should be fine with that setup.
Don't let anyone say anything about your wc setup. It's whatever gets you to where you want your rig to be.
