Quote:
TRENDnet said Monday that it shipped the world's first 450 Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router, the TEW-691GR. It comes packed with three external antennas that broadcast on the 2.4 GHz spectrum--three spatial streams per antenna produce the 450 Mbps theoretical wireless throughput. Unfortunately, the only compatible hardware thus far taking advantage of the new speed is Intel's integrated 5300 wireless chip used in laptops.

TRENDnet seems to be getting better. I always base their quality via there name.

Have you had any experience with TRENDnet Duckie?

Nope.... I haven't really researched wireless in a few years.

Wireless performance and range vary so much that it is often hard to know which is good. Some do great at short range while others do better at long range. Some companies change internals between models or even revisions which improve/hurt performance.

I usually check here for some benchies: http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/compo...ess/Itemid,200

It isn't about being up to par, it's about being legible. Truthfully, I had to reread it 3 times before I could understand what you said.

So it would take just over two fully-in-use connections to max out the router, then?
