Why switch as it appears that Sandy Bridge does not outperform the I 7 series. A better question may be after Sandy Bridge is released will the I 7 be more cost effective (Intel Price cut)? If so then I 7 sales will probably impact 1090 sales.

I think that the correct question is: How many i7 users will switch to Sandy?

For my side, I think keep my rig, upgrade to bulldozer and maybe build a Sandy, i5 or i7 rig, depends of prices.

Hi Saint

sorry about the pending hijack but I was curious about sometime.

Looking at the sign rig it is very close to mine. How do you like your memory sticks. I was thinking of swapping out mine and getting a couple of new sets. I can not get them to 7.8.7 @1600 and need to run them at 8.8.8 @ 1600. What have you been able to get your ballistics stick timing to run at?

My 1090t is stable on 1.4v @ 4 GHz . Try it .
I have my 1090t running on stock voltages as follows on gigabyte 890FX UD5

3.6ghz @ 1.30vcore stock
turbo at 4.0ghz
cool and quiet enabled for 800mhz at idle

NB 2.6ghz @ 1.20v stock

i was able to run it at 3.8ghz all day stable at 1.350v but couldnt use cool n quiet and the turbo would jump to 1.5v from the stock 1.45v which is too high and dont trust it using the hyper n620? air cooler..

i messed around with seeing how far i could push it for weeks but in the end i didnt notice the extra speed anyway and the turbo at 4.0ghz is fine and i prefer the cool n quiet for power...

What is the voltage recommended for 24/7 on CPU/NB / "IMC"? I have it at 1.40 v, is too much?
