I figure it out finally with 1090.The cpu is fine at 1.4v, but NB overheat.
I install a small fan (temp=52-54 now at NB) and increase slightly vNB.

I want to ask you something about the ram.If i increase FSB but lower RAM multiplier have i to increase Dram voltage?(ex. 200x8=1600, 240x6.66=1600)

Btw the CPU multiplier has step x1 not x0.5. GA-890XA(790FX) and GA-890GPA(890GX) has x0.5 step,Crosshair IV Formula has too.Can someone confirm that 890FXA doesn't have x0.5 step?
First, when you mention vNB do you mean NB voltage or CPU/NB Voltage? Usually the NB voltage is fine on auto and controls the chipset, not much added voltage needed on this. The CPU/NB Voltage is to control IMC in CPU and adjusted when raising the NB Freq. Maybe this is why your NB is running hot? My NB runs at 35-36c idle and 43-44c when under load with NB Freq at 3010 MHz with NB Voltage at 1.24v. CPU/NB Voltage is 1.41v.

I don't think you would have to change the Dram Voltage as long as the Freq is the same, or real close to the same. You'll know if you need more voltage when stress testing. If prime95 BSOD it usually means you need more Vcore, if a worker fails than it's usually Dram Voltage or CPU/NB Voltage.

Posted wrong ram speed was running at 1500 lol.
Now-
- Core: 3636 MHz
- NB: 2020
- vCore:1.325
- vNB: 1.181

- Stable: Yes, idle 25, load 48

Also the temps measured are by MSI Control Center, Coretemp reads my CPU as Idle 20, Load 45. My bios seem to agree which leads me to think Coretemp needs a little tweaking with this CPU so it will read properly.

Hi,
I need some help and advice please.

I am building a new rig.

Motherboard ASUS Crosshair IV formula
CPU AMD 1090t
Memory Corsair Dominator GT 8 gig 2000Mhz OC
Cooling Corsair H70 Watercooled
Case CoolerMasters Haf-X

PSU and Graphics cards not bought yet.

I have built a few machines in the past, but I have never overclocked one.
I've been reading these forums and watching some videos on youtube about overclocking but I'm still not 100% sure on some things.

I would like my machine to be running around 4Ghz.
Could someone post what settings I would have to make to the BIOS.
I see a lot of people have the same motherboard CPU combination, but with different memory.

Thank you in advance for your help

So I ran my CPU at 4.1ghz@1.52v for 12hrs on prime with no problems, but I can't get linx stable.. The NB is at 2800mhz@1.370v and the ram is at 1600 7-8-7-26-2t.. It'll pass linx and prime with those settings at 4.0ghz@1.475v.

With the exact same settings it's stable in prime and linx. With ram at 1333 and the nb at 2400-2600, it's stable in prime and linx. As soon as I add that little bump, prime runs perfectly fine all day, but linx fails in 1-5mins.. There's no BSOD, it just restarts.. I thought maybe it was heat, but I'm on water, and I tried lowering settings on the ram and NB for less volts and less heat, but 4.1ghz still won't work in linx.

Only reason I'm slightly bothered is because my CPU temp rarely sees past 53c and stays much lower depending on my room temp even with these higher volts, so I've not yet reached my thermal threshold. I think I've simply just reached the limits this chip can push.. I've fed it 1.58v (just shy of 1.6v) just to see if I could stabilize it for 20 passes in linx, but even that didn't work, which throws me off big time since prime will handle it for MUCH less just fine.

I think I pretty much tried everything to get linx stable at 4.1ghz.. It'll pass several times with the NB cranked up to 3000, but that extra 100mhz on the cpu throws it off.
