Nope. I paid a lot of money for Win 7 Ultimate, while I am fine with features it was delivered with. Upgrade to higher versions may remove some of them (like the ability to install any driver).

DX12 isnt for me a factor.

Voltage 7 0.43 Volts [0x24] (VIN7)
Voltage 8 1.68 Volts [0x8C] (VIN8)

None of those look like CPU_NB to me. You can check bios or if you want something windows based I'm pretty sure HWInfo64 will read the CPU_NB voltage

Old thread but I put my 1090t back to work since I bought a board to put it in after the board it use to run it got a 8350.
Use to do 4.2ghz on 1.5V in the sabertooth with 1866mhz ram.

On this rubbish 78LMT-USB3 it will only do 3.89ghz on 1.45V with 1366mhz ram. (Same kit).
Just a bit worried with how hot the NB runs on this mobo with it hitting 75C under long full load.

No surprise it's a terrible board, maybe swap in the 8350 and watch the show ha ha JK

My 1090T is still trucking. Changed my PSU to a TX850M, no more reboots when pushing hard. Back to my old overclock with 1866Mhz RAM.
Should change it probably but Idk. Can still game on it, can still work on it and I also got my laptop with an Haswell.

Because I had long-time problems with CPU PWM being too hot, and R9-290x is clearly a factor in this I am going for R9 FuryX with watercooling. Even when my CPU was tested to be stable on 3.9GHz i had to go to 3.8Ghz to fix problems with CPU stability. I even considered upgrade to Saberooth or similar board with 2 extra phases for CPU PWM...
So I purchased and successfully installed AMD R9 FuryX with watercooling.

GPU temps dropped to 50 and below, CPU temps under load below 50 as well.

I tried overclocking again and for 1st pass test I am using LinX, with problem size 9992 (771mb).

Test seems to fail at 4000Mhz (still same goal)

a) Its not temperature
CPU as a whole is below 55 degrees, cores have 50-55.

b) It does not seem like PWM issue (anymore)
I tried the test with 5 threads instead of 6, but it failed anyway.

c) Total peak performance seems to be a factor
If the test is done in less than 9 seconds, it probably fails. If its done in less than 8.9 seconds it always fails.

Currently at 3800Mhz 1,488v for CPU core (which is quite a lot)

Notes:
RAM has really tight latencies CL6 at 3800Mhz means comparable performance to CL7 3900Mhz.
Memory Remap feature is disabled - this means 1 less GB of RAM visible to system, but also certain blocks of memory are dedicated to PCI devices and rest to CPU = peak transfers can go up.

So... at this point I am not really sure if its:
1. CPU core(s)
2. CPU Cache
3. Memory getting more load from CPU
4. CPU/NB.

CPU Core voltage however indicates, that this particular piece isnt suited for higher frequencies... So... I will test it with PRIME95 cache test, just to exclude RAM as a potential factor.
