High temps, should I lower my OC?

Thread Starter
Ok, so I am folding for the foldathon right now, and my CPU temps are very high. 68c now because my ambients are very high right now with it being summer and all. Do you think that those temps are ok, or should I lower my 4.0Ghz overclock?

Is that temperature your CPU's temperature or your CPU's Core temperature? Also, what program are you using to monitor your temps?

NO.

intel states that for your chip the max temps are something like 72 ºc
that means you are safe up to 92 for peak temps, or something like 80ºc for 24/7

your temps agre great right now

that is my highest core temp, and I am using Core Temp to monitor my temps.

Like Edu said, your temps are fine. Although, IMHO, I would keep the the temps under 70º C for 24/7 on that processor.
