GTX 470 Price drop?

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

Anyone have any clue or any estimations as to when the 470 and 480 are going to drop in price? I am not too familiar as to when past nvidia cards usually dropped in price? I'm guessing its usually around the same time period. Or if anyone has any insider info, that would help too.

Peace

No reason for them to drop it.

They are already dropping. I've seen them sporadically as low as 309.99. I think when people figure out that you can flash a 465 to a 470 people will opt for the cheaper 465.

If you're an Ebay buyer you can get a 470 for less than 300 and a 480 for 350.

Probably not quite that low, but eBay does give 8% cash back through Bing, which yields about $322 for standard priced 470.

Or, you could use the $30 of $300 at eWiz (PAPA30) to get one for as low as $308.99 shipped (and that's better than Bing cash back because it's an instant coupon). Plus eWiz gives you 3% Bing cash back for another $9.27 off, bringing the total cost to under $300 for a 470.

I would guess we would see a refresh replacement before a price drop.
