Graphic card burning ...

Thread Starter
Hey,
my graphic card temp looks too high. It's getting about 50-60 idle, 80-90 in game. But I don't understand why it is so high. I've put the GPU fans (stock) at 100%, and even the side panel is removed. But I'm still getting that temp. My room is at 20-25C. I'm getting .

What should I do?

Oh, and my computer started to shut down itself. I checked the temp of my CPU, and in game, it won't go higher than 50C. Perhaps it is the GPU causing it?

That card shouldn't have a problem running at 90C.

Anyway, try taking the cooler apart and remove dust. Those coolers get nasty after a year or so.

It sounds unlikely that your GPU is causing system crashes. My bet is that something else is unstable.

Did you remove the cooler last week to clean it? You probably made a mistake when you installed the cooler again.

Did you replace the TIM? (newb question, but people forget all kinds of things)

And as Wtomlinson said, these cards get hot, but it doesn't hurt them.
