few questions!

1. Are your standard load temps 55 c? 22c ambient
2. Is your aftermarket cooler kinda loud at idle?

is there any way to slow the fan down even more my idle temp is 33c

My Father has a 5870UD in one of his rigs. From what I can remember it ran mid 50's to 60 on loads. Can't comment on the fans though, has about 5 other computers in that room, so hard to tell which one is loud

Should also note that it is in a room with a lot of computers and lots of heat being dumped into that room. It gets pretty toasty with all of them folding. So high ambients.

I've got a test rig with one of the gigabytes installed on it. My load temps are in the 38-45 C range. No aftermarket cooler. FYI - I do have a Corsair 800D case and is pretty well circulated with air. I control all fans via bios on my EVGA E762's.

I think you are probably fine albeit it could be slightly cooler. Hope that helps you out a little.

haha, well good, i upgraded from a 4870 which would do about 95c + on load so i guess i just wanted to check, it seems unreal that it is such low temps at such great performance
