Your opinion pls - Mobo 865PE with P4 or 915 with high Celeron

I'm getting a new computer for my office and i don't need it for games or anything but i want it to be reasonably fast and last me for 2 or 3 years orso - it would handle mostly documents, websites - play music - so nothing special really

Now at home I have a P4P800-E Dlx with 2.8C @ 3.6 + 2G DDR and it still plenty fast for me playing games and all the other usuall stuff - really like the ASUS and P4

Anyway for a 130 Euro i can buy a P4P800 + P4 2.6C or even 2.4 that OC's to 3.6 and fill up a machine with the usuall stuff or also for 130 Euro I can buy a Gigabyte GA-8I915PL-G with a Celeron 2.8D and the rest

People say the 915 is more future proof as i could upgrade the proc in the future but its slower than the P4

As its the same money I'm confused which to buy

Its a budget machine because i want to get a 19" LCD and DVD-RW etc

Anyway hope i can get some opinions

Much appreciated

i would go with the p4p800 and 2.6c, its faster and i wouldnt worry about the "future proofing" for they both are about on the same page... and this is a budget build so your not to worried about playing games 2 yrs down the road so this will suffice you need fine in my eyes...

What about a P4P800 SE with a P4 2.4 (supposedly goes up to 3.6) for a 100 euro?

P4P800 SE and P4 2.4 is an overclockers (Value) Dream and for 100 euro is a good one.

It will be a fast machine.
