UPDATE: Sat. Morning 9:30AM:

Okay so I bumped up the Vcore another notch last night and ran BLEND. It ran for a bit over 8hrs and seemed fine. There were no failures and no crashes.

I know some people say you should run for 24hrs but I don't see the point in that. I figure after 8hrs of torture if she hasn't given up the ghost she probably won't.

So all in all I ran 8hrs of small FFT's (it did crash at the very end) I bumped the Vcore one last time and ran BLEND all night with no issues.

She did get up as high as 76C but that's on that one core and I'm just not sure I believe it.

Unless you guy's tell me different I'm going to call this stable and asked to be added to the 4.0 club.

Big thanks to all that helped me and a special thanks to NoGuru for going above and beyond.

I have included alot of images for you to look at as well as I put a full MIT sheet at the bottom.

If you see anything funny or know for sure were I can improve on this please let me know and I'll try it.

Two things:

1. Would you call an 8hr run stable?

2. Do you see anything in my settings that you think are out of line or I should lower?

I'm working on putting together a better wc setup in the wc section so hopefully by the end of next week I'll have all the stuff.

Thanks again.

Well stable is up to you, but I normally try and do 12 hours plus OCCT or some other test.

Settings look good to me.

If you need help with the WC setup let me know, I would be happy to help.

Glad you said this. I am not getting very far in the wc section. There is too much talk about the H50. I have done alot of mods on the H50 but IMHO it'll only go so far and from what I have seen once ppl start getting into the 4+GHz they are expecting miracles out of the thing.

I know this isn't the place for this but since you offered here is what I was/am looking at.

Couple of things to keep in-mind the GPU block is the wrong one. I don't even know if I can still get a 4870 block but I wanted to have an idea on budget and if it was to fit great.

I also was guessing that I had the correct parts on a few things I did call the stores but they are all East Coast and were closed. So I came up with this.

Also I was thinking I would keep the Rad outside the case.

My office ambient is a consistent 25-26C.

If you want you can change to the settings above, they should give you a good boost in bandwidth. You can also try to lower the cpu term and mch voltage but I would do it after you change to the settings above, if you are going to.

Hey Hoss,

A couple of questions.

What exactly do these settings change? I just want to have a good understanding of it.

If I do try and move my CPU Term and MCH lower should I do it in a particular order?

Good work.

You'll know if it's stable over the next couple weeks, when you use it.

Those are some of the sub timings and when you have the memory profile set to standard they get set pretty loose when left on auto. Another way to do it is set the profile to turbo and in which case you can leave the subs on auto, it will give you the same results as standard with the timings I listed. The Static tRead is the performance level on these boards and will probably be set to around 9-10 when left on auto, setting it to 7 or 8 will be what gives you the best bandwidth for your speed. CPU term setting 1.32 doesnt work so youll need to go down to 1.30, which shouldnt be a problem for your speed. Before you mess with the mch voltage adjust those other timings/settings and then retest stability, if it stays stable start lowering it, if its not raise it a notch.

Oky I think I get it sort of. However just to be clear my CPU Term is set at 1.340.

Is it still okay to go with the above settings?

***EDIT*** Okay I put in the timings you suggested. Couple of things though.

Under Advanced Timing Control is where I Found the Channel A & B.

But, when I opened them I had a few options in there. Channel A Timing and Channel A Driving.

I just went into the Timing side to set the Static tRead Value. I hope that's correct?!...

Also on the tRFC setting it was 74 stock and I set it to the 84.

I only mention this since the rest of the numbers I was inputting were lower not higher.
