On your SMP client shortcut right click and select properties, then add the -smp flag at the end of the target, picture below. Or you can try doing "-smp 8", just -smp should force it to use all available threads, but in the past I've had to specify the threads on a client.

uhhh..

One thing I noticed (that I'm surprised others may not have)

Your temps in your first image(s) were way too high. 97/94/95/93 & CPU @ 80? You do realize these range to 3-7c within thermal limit for the cores and ~ 13c OVER the thermal spec for the CPU tin? Even your 2nd image (92/90/91/90 cpu@ 72) are temps that should not be sustained..

or am I just being paranoid...?

Close the client and try adding 8 to it, then give it 3-5% for it to update and see where it's at.

Ohhh wow !!!!!! just saw that ....Reseat that cpu cooler or get a better cooler
you might want to post a ss of cpuz for the Intel guys to check your settings over MistaBernie is 100% on temps way to high..down clock if you have to ..

@MistaBernie: your right about that if its on 100% cpu (feels like i am running Intel Burn Test)

@Aqualoon: its 100% working back now.

I'll try to lower the OC to 3.6 for folding. Maybe it would drop the temps back to 75c.

I am in the Philippines so ambient here are around 35-40c

CPU is already on water (Alpha Cool)

Yeah, Bernie is right, need to drop down that vcore!

And glad to see load on all 8 threads Drop that core temp and you'll see a nice increase in your SMP PPD.
Hopefully you can get down to 3.8 w/o too much vcore (my bios is at 1.28 for 3.8, with LLC it pushes it up towards 1.31-1.32, that should drop your temps pretty well).

But yeah, with ambients around 35-40c (Ahhhhhhhhhmigod hot!) you'd need quality cooling to try to keep it down... i've never heard of Alpha Cool, looks like I'm-a-googlin!

Hm. Cool looking blocks.. do you have the acrylic tops or one of the stone series?
