Alright... Build me one... O_O - Page 5

For anti-static I got a $3 wrist band off newegg. I plugged my psu in the wall and turned the switch off on it. I then clipped on the little clip to a metal part on the power supply. Better safe than sorry!

Just touch a doorknob or the metal part of your PSU to ground yourself.

And your raid question, yes you need 2 drives for raid, but an SSD is faster than a lot of RAID 0 set ups, and you can get a big storage drive for cheap these days.

I'm never going to go above 2x sli or crossfire. I just want a motherboard with all the main features... USB 3 SATA III etc and great for overclocking... don't think I need to really spend too much for that.

Here, I just put both my posts into one big post.

Hold on let me update it now due to your new "wants".

Still going with the 1200w PSU since you said you might wanna dual card in the future and youll need it LOL!

Just for the hell of it I found you a mouse and mouse pad

SteelSeries Xai Black 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse

SteelSeries 9HD Gaming Pad (The reason the XAI has such low ratings is because of their mousepads being cloth and being dirty).

I own a XAI and use a SteelSeries QCK cloth and I have any problems. IMO, the best mouse out. Ive owned the Microsoft Intelli 1.1, Razer Copperhead, Razer Pro Click v1.6, and Logitch MX500. All have issues with tracking. You wont notice it most likely unless pointed out or you do competitive gaming on the PC in FPS like I have/do. Youll notice it when you go into MSpaint and draw lines slowly. You will see big bumps/your mouse will spaz out.

Now the monitor and keyboard.

Keyboard:
Logitech G19
or
Logitech G15

Monitor:

Acer GD235HZbid Black/orange 23.6" 2ms Widescreen 1080p 120Hz 3D-Ready

Newegg link

or

2x ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" 2ms HDMI

Newegg link

Id go with 2 of the ASUS monitors personally because the fact of having 2 monitors but, the Acer would probably look better video wise because of 120hz but, the ASUS isnt a slouch

Sounds good, then I'll just put the money towards a second GPU now I guess. When I order all this stuff at once from Newegg, will it all come together in one box?

Oh, okay. The Evga FTW3 motherboard is good because it has an Evga lifetime warranty and because Evga makes solid products. Another option is the ASUS P6X58D-E. That has usb3 sata6 for $40 less, but I'd choose the Evga one. Also, are you sure you need usb3 sata6? Its a good questio to ask becasue you could get a cheaper motherboard with usb2 sata3.

i7 930 - $200 @ microcenter

Get 2x 5870s or 2x 470s

Get one Intel X25-M 80Gb... and that's my suggestion
