Right you are, I"m not a good one to ask on how it was. I don't drink much at all. If I had to guess I'd say it's about the same as like a greygoose grade (simply based on price), just much more expensive due to the bottle.

Well good new/bad news.
Good, the back is semi flat so it might be possible.... IF... there wasn't the seem running vertical through that area. I figure I'll still try it anyways doesn't hurt, in case for some strange reason it does work...

I didn't care much for it, tasted somewhere between grey goose and polar ice.
Was thinking about doing this to my bottle a while back, but it's just sitting on my counter for now.

Subbed to see how this goes.

Years ago I saw a guy on TV drilling glass bottles. They were flat bottles of course, but he was using a thick compound, drill press, and a lot of time. He also kept a trash can close by for all the broken glass.

If it doesn't work, you could find someone that blows glass and see about having something made. That could be cool.

dont use a glass bottle man..You will have to go through immense pain to get the bottle drilled , mounted with barbs and re-strengthening of the glass...

and if you have only 1 bottle then I must say forget it because in any of the steps above the bottle might break...

I would say use a mockup bottle made of Acryl..If you want your bottley shape you can go to any laser cutter and mount a 12mm sheet of acryl and make it up..I will use about 5-8 layers of 12mm acryl to give you that crazy shape of liquor bottles...

It's going to be a nightmare, the chances of a clean cut without any cracks, and fitting, tightening barbs without putting stress on the glass is going to cause some serious headaches!, not to mention fitting the damned thing somewhere in the case! it's huge!

I used to work with glass and you will find small circle shards fire off as you drill and work on it.

if you are very very slow and keep washing the hole down with water as you drill you might be ok but one movement to the side as you drill and shards will start flying, if you are going to attempt to drill it, I would use a vice, which would make holding the glass securely difficult because...well it's glass.

You can by all means try it, if it goes wrong it goes wrong, but if it works, then great!

Couldnt you cut into the bottom? While it wont be the best you'd have a flat surface and a downward outlet for the pump.

Any idea's / pointers?

Thanks in advance for any help.
I would suggest not drilling holes through the glass unit. Instead, judging from the size of the opening at top, I suggest thinking in the direction of using a rubber (or perhaps cork?) stopper with 2 through holes. Barbs could be relatively easy to install.

See my attached drawing for the idea (which basically comes from a conical flask used in any chemical experiment).

I hope this can jumpstart your project.
