A bit late but since you asked so nicely.

It didn't feel like it was too stable, had to drop BCLK and use poor timings to post. Maybe high end RAM would be handy for testing but the ordinary stuff I use works well enough with a decent BCLK and 4xBCLK memory clock.

finally got mine runnin good and stable, ran a 4 hour 100% test on OCCT, its running 3.9ghz
29x multi
133.7 blck
1.272 volt
rams up to 1728mhz from 1600 corsair dominators unlocked
the frequency shows lower because i have c1e enabled for cooler idle
i tested crysis maxed settings for 2 hours and final fantasy 14 maxed settings for 4 hours and it never got above 57 degrees

your OC looks good Myztkl-Kev!

Welcome to OCN and remember to fill your system info out under "User CP>Edit System"

What cooling are you using?

How on earth did you get that to work? 14xBCLK=RAMclock! On an i7 860! How??!!??

Interesting and why a Bclk of 115, why does itn´t work at 133?

Something is not right with it.

Hey guys, I've been finding stable clocks at a few different settings with this chip so far, and I think the best setting for me is probably 21x190 (which comes out to 4GHz CPU / 1800MHz RAM). For those who run LinX, be sure to run with at least 85-90% ram usage, or you won't find out if you're truly stable (I can't run 100%, as I don't have a page file [no virtual memory]). I find I can run less voltages if I run 20 passes of only 1-2GB memory usage (I have 8GB total). If I neglect to run at full memory, then my stability varies at lower volts. Sometimes it will run for 6-8 passes, other times it will run to 15 passes... sometimes it will even pass 20 passes. But when I run full memory usage, it is very reliably crashing at about the same spot each time... when not given enough juice.

I know others have said that running LinX for 20-50 runs does not truly indicate stability, but I find it to be different in my case. Maybe you have a lower quality motherboard, or some other component causing you issues with stability, because I can run anything else with no issues, including Prime95 small/large, and OCCT for hours, and any games, and I can idle and anything else I want to do with full stability... as long as I can pass 20 passes with LinX at 85% ram usage.

Note: where I could use some help is in the power saving features. I can't seem to get my voltages to drop at idle, even when I enable all the power saving features in the bios (C1E, LLC, etc). My multi will drop to 9, but the voltages remain solid.

This isn't a huge issue for me, but now that I've got it as solid as a rock, I'd like to find out what I can do with power saving features turned on.

Voltages are between 1.36 and 1.375 for IMC and VCORE.

Change advanced power settings >

Something small (I have mine at 2%, but 5% will do)

This will allow your voltages to drop when EIST is enabled.

I did check that and mine says 5% in power management settings, but still no go. I can't figure out why.

Well, you can get "interesting" results with Tjunction sensors. Tonight my analog thermometer is reading 21c, or 70f. This thermometer generally read 0.5c cooler than my now-defunct digital thermometer. I'm on air cooling. How accurate do you think these temps are?

But do note that the cpu load is under 2%. My minimum processor state is set to 2%.
