Just curious, what's ur load temp now? I have previously used 212+ but it doesn't give me much OC headroom. And switching into Megahalems makes the load temp 10C lower.

BTW, I also zip a R4 below my GTX 470

Well, megahalems are in an entirely different class of air cooling...and that's a far superior cooler over the 212+

My current load temps (OC at 3.48Ghz and stock voltages) are around the low 60s with IBT and mid-high 50s with LinX or OCCT.

Idle is low 20s.

I have already reseated and re-applied my TIM and still used arctic silver 5 ...which I would rather not have used, but its all I have. Maybe next summer I'll switch to an H70 and see better temps and a better overclock...thats the goal for now.

Btw, 4.53 on AIR???? thats crazy good! How'd you do that!
Your temp still have some headroom for you to go higher

4.53 is only for a superpi running. To ensure stability and nice temp(<80 under load IMO), I run it @4GHz. To see some real impressive result, check #133 reply of this thread from Ghostleader. It's on the 14th page:/

I had the 212 and RMA'ed it.. and picked up the Noctua NH-D14..
now I am running under 20 idle and 68 full load for 12 hours straight @ 4.1 ghz.

Worth every penny. best cooler I've ever used.
