Last night got a little chilly, so I opened the window and did some overclocking:

4.1GHz

4.2GHz

4.3GHz

It is not that, I suppose. Windows start with 4.0 Ghz, which is not under load, and sometimes in the testing, for a moment, cpu goes back to 9x "momentarily" then goes back to OCed multiplier.

Sounds like overspeed protection is turned on in your bios settings. Or it migh be listed as thermal throttlig or something- basically it throttles momentarily at a set temperature from my memory unless you disable it. And it def is not speedstep

I tried enabling C1E in the bios, and i think it resolved my problem.

Nice

It´s sure nice to have both the Bclk and the multi to play with on these i7 875k, I wish that the Uclk was unlocked also but that is for the i7 extreme editions only

Could you post your volts with that setup, and what is your overclock? Which power saving modes enabled? I've been looking into overclocking with the power saving features.

I'm still using my 3.7ghz@1.2v. The winter is a great time to try new overclocks without major risks.
