Hello All, im new here and have some tests to show !!!

I'm read all posts from this excellent topic and learned much things about OC, Uncore, etc.... thanks to all

@Ghostleader

What's better for gamming, HT ON or OFF ??

Because my 875K can do 4.0ghz HT on with 1.29v, and 4.2ghz HT off with 1.344v

My rig CFX5850

Now i have a GTX580

4.0ghz HT on @ 1,293v

4.1ghz HT on @ 1.336v

Sorry for my bad english !!!

What timing and ram speed do you run?
Thank's . I run 2700 because this is available when i start the test. It's 3119 free after i end the test. Dont ask why cause i dont know. I run 2000Mhz ram and 8-8-8-24 timing.

There is already a sizable list of Sandy Bridge O/C's on another thread. I don't have time anymore to update this.

I'm so in!! just barely got this cpu and ram today!!! 875k batch number L019A885 4.125GHZ 1.375v

I am very new to this so if you see something I am doing wrong or you have any suggestions please do so. When I first started to do this overclock I used some numbers here and couldn't get anything stable over 4.3 even trying things manually.

I eventually found a stable setup shown below and then when I starting messing with the XMP profile for the new RAM I noticed I didn't need to set any of the voltage it set them for me I just needed to adjust the multiplier to the highest number I could that would stay stable.

I like the option of letting the board/cpu determine when higher voltage should be used instead of having to set it at a static voltage. So yea long story short just using the XMP profile with the 875k it was very easy for someone with very little experience to get a 1.4 Ghz overclock.

Well first intel system since my old Pentium 100 years ago, feels weird. Sold off my AM3 CPU/Board and grabbed an i5 2500k. Don't get the board until next week though which sucks. Can't wait to see how these things run compared to AMD, though I'm stuck on a crappy Sempron 2800+ for a week or so.

Will be re-using my Hyper 212+ so we'll see how high I can go with it. Will add my experience when I get everything, and set it up.

You should use 85%-90% of your ram to see if you are stable. Choose custom and set it .
