A GTX 260 max'ing BC2 at 1080p? I would love to see a vid of that showing all the settings and resolution. Not being sarcastic...I would really like to see a vid of that.

he needs to upgrade from dual core to atleast 3 cores. so that audio can have its own thread, that makes a huge difference.

if he wants to max out graphics as well as resolution. he also needs atleast a 5870. a 5850 will do with some lowered graphics.

Going with a 5770 or something of that nature will just have you replacing it in a year or so when it cant handle the new games coming out.

I also suggest a gtx 480 or 470. they keep releasing drivers improving performance and they are really starting to leave the 58xx series in the dust, and more driver improvements are on the way, expect another 10-15% out of the new fermi cards when th drivers mature.

Its all about how much money you want to spend, also remember that spending more now can mean spending less later. Do you want to play the rest of the next gen games coming out? crysis 2, dues ex, mafia 2, fear 3, metro 33 etc.

This guy's just a fanboy trying to justify his expense. If you want constant 60 fps, get the 5850. If you can handle occasional drops to 30-40, get the 5770 (it might even be better for you, since you have a more powerful CPU than me).

no. he is telling the truth.

bad company 2 processes all audio on the cpu. which put even higher strain on it. which is why a decent dual core is minimum requirements for bc2, and a quad core is recommended.

you will never pull 60fps on a 32 player match online with a dual core.

Vhati:you will never pull 60fps on a 32 player match online with a dual core.

pretty much true, I went from a dual core to a quad and it almost doubled my fps..and im running old 8800gt's sli I get anywhere from 50-100 depending on the situation in the server. thats on high settings and bloom turned off. quad core is a huge difference....cant wait till i can upgrade my gpu
