Optical drives should be gone. They should ship software on flash drives. CD and DVDs have been the bottleneck for how many years?

Wouldn't flash drives be a lot more expensive than CDs and DVDs?

Here's my review of it.

- Bought it 2 days ago
- Came in from Newegg today
- Installed it 3 hours ago
- When I press the open tray button it opens and immediately closes
- Pressing the manual open button with a pin does nothing
- Newegg wants 10 bucks to RMA it back
- Someone will be having an awful day on the customer service line if they really think I am paying 10 bucks + restocking for a $22 item because it was defective.

That's why you're not installing stuff over the internet?

Incorporate the $5 into the cost. Offer a $5 discount for the software if purchased online, $10 for a back-up disc.

And flash is only getting cheaper.
