Hello Guys!

I just want to ask if someone here on OCN successfully flashed a Sapphire 5850 non reference to ASUS bios?

If there is, can you please share how you did it?

Many thanks.

If you're trying to get voltage control on the non reference Sapphire 5850, I'm afraid you won't be able to. The non reference sapphire 5850 doesn't support voltage control via software, but you can volt mod it.

As far as I know, if you try to flash anything other than a Reference 5850 to any other BIOS, including ASUS, it will brick the card.

Yea, I'm the same way. I wouldn't do the pencil mod, personally. The chances of messing up aren't worth the few extra frames you might get.

i should have a XFX 5850 BE already but unfortunately, the seller backed out

now i'm very tempted of buying my friend's sapphire non ref 5850 coz he's selling it for $230 only.

i tried finding one at Ebay but still the price is high.
