The 4890 has more power, like stated above...

I use to own two 5770s, and they ran BFBC2 great.

DX11, low power consumption, and they over clock like a beast!

HD4890

Pros:

1- 10%-20% faster than the HD5770

Cons:

1- runs very hot
2- consumes much more W
3- not future proof

HD5770

Pros:

1- near HD4890 performance when OC'ed
2- DX11 tessellation and direct compute
3- more future proof
4- consumes much less W than the HD4890,
5- runs cooler
6- much cheaper

cons:

1- Doesn't have the HP to max newer games beyond 1650x1050

i mean newer and upcoming games with DX11 features, so the HD5770 main marketing is that its a cheap but relatively powerful dx11 card though don't expect it to max games @ 1080P, thats the HD5850 territory

The HD4890 can max all DX9/10 games @ 1080P, i can't say the same about the HD5770
