Should i flash my Gigabyte HD5770 bios?

Thread Starter
the card is a none reference PCB and doesn't support Voltage control, i tried Ati tray tool and it only shows two voltages to choose from

1- 0.98v the default voltage for 150/300 or 2D mode
2- 1.20v the default voltage for 850/1200 and the one i used to reach 950/1350 stable

I tired creating a new voltage settings but Ati tray tools won't accept it and i tried MSI AB but voltage slider is blank

so i think its clear that my card doesn't support voltage increase,

Now will flashing the bios give the card more OC potential? and if so is it worth it over 950 core/ 1350 mem?

Flashing it won't give you more OC potential unless you can raise the vcore through it. Which really never works. I think you might just be SOL because of it, but if gigabyte has new BIOS posted its good to put them on. Like my card is already at F6. Fixed the whole fan crysis though.

does flashing the GPU bios work just like flashing the gigabyte MB bios cause it was very easy to do with the program they provided for windows so someone doesn't have to go through the hassle of flashing it in DOS

You can flash it through windows yes. I've done it plenty of times, but had to use dos for test flashing 5870 bios. Whats the product model number?
