So I got my WC rig up and running. Decided on 900/1200 24/7 to start. At higher speeds I was hating the noise the chips made.

That is a crazy low voltage for 1000. Nice card you have there.

Well, I know i'm really late on this thread but i hope to get some answers. I'm running my 2 cores on different numbers because one seems to be much higher temps. I'm water cooling and i think it's possible i have to add some thermal tape to one of the vrm. Core 1 i have v1.1625 and 913/1200. But the vrm is at about 100 on that one. The 2nd core i have it at 1.27 1000/1200 and the vrm is running about 90. I have the dd-5970 but i can't really find much good info on the possibility of one of the VRM's needing an extra layer of tape. I'd like to get them both up to 1000 clock since i know my cooler can handle it. Any input would be great.
