DGL-4100 limits internet with firewall

Thread Starter
I have a DGL-4100 d-link router and since I moved I went from cable to DLS my router seems to block most of my websites. Well it blocks everything but the text.

On windows XP it will say "Connented,Firewalled" but when I unplug it and reset it I was able to fix the problem when I reinstalled it. It's work perfect until someone came over and I let them use it and now When I try to use it the problem is back and I cant seem to reset it no more. Internet still works fine.

Anyways only way I can access more then text if I add the website to the router access list.

Just so you know, the "Connected, Firewalled" notification implies that the Windows Firewall is enabled on that particular connection on your computer - not that your router has a firewall enabled...

Well, that's what the "Connected, Firewalled" means. Windows is not designed to detect the presence of a 3rd-party external hardware firewall on the network.

But to address your main issue, have you tried resetting the TCP/IP stack, clearing history, clearing DNS cache, and possibly changing your DNS servers being used?
