Can I gang together fan connectors?

Thread Starter
I would like to run my radfans through a fan controller in my PC, however I only have one available bay left.

Would it be possible to tie together two fans? Ultamitaly, my goal is to get 9 fans running through a 6-fan controller.

I know that you need to separate the yellow cable to accurately measure the RPMs, but is there anything else I should be looking out for?

thanks.

Just make sure the total wattage of both fans doen't exceed that of each separate channel.

Depends on the fans and what controller. I have 3 fans on one channel but I know its ok with the combo of parts I have.

do you guys know of any good programmable fan controllers? I'd like to put a thermometer in my water loop that will tell my fans when to kick into high gear - does such a thing exist?

also, what supplies do I need to tie the fan connections together? just a bunch of Y's?
