E5200 at 4ghz vs E6600 at 3.5ghz

Thread Starter
My HTPC is an Optiplex with a new GPU and it has an E6600, my desktop has E5200. At stock, I know the E6600 will be faster cos of 2mb more L2 but what about at these clocks? E5200 is guaranteed to hit 4ghz on my old P5B Dlx (it has no vdroop and it's not limited to 1.4V and it's a good clocker) and assuming my E6600 gets to 3.5ghz, which I see no reason why it shouldn't but I haven't tried it, which would perform better?
Thanks.
Bob

The E5200 is NOT guaranteed to hit 4.0 on ANY board. I have tried mine on an awesome P35 board, and this decent P45 board, and neither could get the chip stable at anything higher than 3.4 (it will boot all the way up to 3.8, but no stability)

I mean this particular E5200 is. I've got it at 3.7ghz and the only reason it crashes at 4ghz is the vdroop on my sig board is almost 0.1V :\\ and the vcore can't be adjusted higher than 1.4V in BIOS.
