Anyone read this comment at the bottom of the article?
Curious to see what you guys think of it.

I hate to break it to you but you guys used a Dead Blow Hammer to make this impact. I’ve got an industrial design specialist who tests durability willing to testify against this garbage of a test. The hammer head impact on the screen is plain as day in the upper right hand corner of the unit. I don’t think anyone who knows industrial materials would be so stupid to think this was from a drop.

Nice try guys but you effing fail.

There’s your culprit.

I thought the 3gs was pretty weak, my wife dropped her phone on the carpet twice and it stopped working. It wouldn't turn on so she to go to Apple, they couldn't fix it so they gave her another one. Which stopped working in about a month. Although the screen didn't crack! Good job Apple.

I always think a screen protector is a good investment for a touch device. Plus the anti-glare ones make Swyping on my Incredible a lot of fun

Excellent show of ignorance of basic material science, champ.

Gorilla glass isn't a magic material, hardly. It's slightly better than Soda-Lime glass but it still suffers from the same weaknesses all glass materials suffer from.

Scratch Resistance is what it says it is, a resistance to scratches. It does not mean that it is Scratch Proof. As far as natural minerals go, Diamond is the only Scratch Proof material(Although there exist materials in the lab which are harder than Diamond which can scratch it.)

Slightly?

It's virtually unscratchable and unbreakable except under the most extreme conditions. Go watch a video or two before making such ridiculous statement.

No need to watch a video, just look at it's spec sheet and compare it to regular glass. It's properties are within 10% of regular glass.
