500>400>350>300

To me it comes down to what you want to spend and what features are important to you.

If money is not an option, buy the most expensive one.
If folding and PhysX is important to you, buy NVIDIA.
If money is tight, buy the cheapest one.
If you want to do eyefinity, buy ATI.
If your mobo is SLI, buy accordingly. (Same with Crossfire)

Example: If it was me, I would get 5850 bc I am cheap as hell, I don't have large resolution, and I have a Crossfire mobo.
The cards are definitely priced correctly.

Thread Starter
Well one or two benchmarks show that latest drivers did give an improvement (if i remember right) and I don't know if any new drivers have came out since. But I think Nvidia drivers are giving boost each time now.

Does anyone know when the next drivers come out to see?

I think they just released some new ones today ? I may be mistaken.

That they did my good man.

anershay pretty much outlined the options.

Be aware, the GTX400 cards performances also comes with increased heat and power draw.

If I wasn't saving up for a folding farm server build, I'd probably buy a GTX480 to fold, and use for PhysX and be called an idiot and ATI fanboy

Check out this thread if you're still in doubt

(LINK)

It's just as with the HD4890 last year, people said the GTX 275 was better, but in the end when users benchmarked the cards it came as a surprise that the card was equal to a GTX 285 or a tad slower

People just continue to look the same way at a product while actual users show that the card actually kicks a$$

You'll fold on that right?

If you are, be sure to get the GPU3 client. One of the folding newbies trying to fold on his GTX480 was using a GPU2 client, which naturally, failed.

Hehe..I have wanted to get more power for folding for ages. I was hoping that with the GPU3 client that things would be better for ATI but it would seem that Stanford is not making much effort with OpenCL coding so had to go and get myself an Nvidia card lol.
