Worried about 5770 crossfire temps - Page 3

Just an FYI....

I had three V1 cards in Tri-Fire and they all ran at the same temp. There was not a bit of space between them, and I was surprised they equallized out so well.

So maybe it IS the card then. I don't think it's normal. I'll try to get a pic perhaps of my case but airflow is fine from my experience. The bottom card doesn't idle or load at high temp (I forget hwat exactly).

In case it helps, these are what I have:

Top:

Bottom:

Edit: I think I will contact XFX and ask

I'll contact them once I register the card (I thought I had done so) and open the ticket and report results lol

Read a post from earlier and someone said 2x5770 > 5850 > 5870? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the 5870 > 5850?

On topic. If just one of them is overheating by "that" much, it could either be a bad sensor or the cooling unit is bad. Out of curiosity, does it feel way too hot?

5870 > 2x5770 > 5850 is more like it, at least for average fps

The air coming out of it felt very hot. Hotter than the air coming from other GPU or from CPU.

Ah, so the correct me again if i'm wrong...but that if that much heat is coming out of it, doesn't that mean it's generating too much? Can't kick heat out if it's not making it. I'd call XFX and maybe RMA.
