haha, yes that motherboard has a nice unlock button besides the ram slots, i believe it works automatically

I got mine at X4 @ 3.6ghz can run 3.9ghz with high voltages.

According to AMD, sometimes if the demand for triple chips is higher than quad core, they have to disable a core inside the processor (quad core) and sell it as a triple core. You need a good motherboard which supports unlocking cores (most reliable would be Asus' Core Unlocker). The unlocked core might not be as stable, but it will still give you performance given you have the right settings. Now about triple cores, it's just not the "biggest bang for the buck" in the market these days, it's not worth the money in more or less words. For just less than $100 more, you can have 3MB more cache, 3 more cores (all stocked stable xD), and lower Vcore = lower temps with the newly released Thuban processors. Cheers =D
