I like the look of the 690 II as well as the hot swappable HDD spot on top of the case, and in fact that's going to be my next case in a few weeks.

I actually went from an Antec 900 to a CM Sniper. You will absolutely fall in love with the Sniper over the 900. You get more room, better cable management, Heatsink mounting bracket access without removing the mobo, fan controller, LED switch, lower noise level's, but still maintain the same if not better airflow than the 900.

i think wire management would be easier on the sniper because of the side bulge behind the mobo?

that was part of the thing i hates with the 900, i had to literally almost stand on my side panel to get it to close.

The Storm Sniper is a better case then the CM 690 II. The Sniper has better cooling and can fit the best video cards without serious modding. this can not be said of the 690.

It is just a better built case all around!

It comes down to budget though as the 690 is cheaper.

At work now i build a lot of gaming systems into CM Sniper cases. As yet i have been unable to find any issues. The cooling is extremely good. It also comes with SSD fitment brackets which are really easy to use. The overall quality of the case is top notch too. The 690 is a good case too but the cooling isnt really up to a high end pc.
If i was going to pick a medium size case for myself, it would be between the Sniper And the Antec 902 and i think the Sniper would win out....Just my humble thoughts

The Storm Sniper is better. It's bigger, better cable management (more space behind the motherboard tray), better stock airflow, better potential airflow if you use a large CPU cooler since large CPU coolers will interfere with the top side fan on the CM 690 II. Why would you get a CM 690 II for water cooling? It's so small. The Storm Sniper is a better water cooling case. Here is a video review of both cases.

CM 690 II Advanced Video Review

CM Storm Sniper Video Review

Go for the all black Storm Sniper. Actually this is the standard one now. The Storm Sniper looks cooler in my opinion, but more importantly it has better stock and potential airflow, it's much larger, it has more dust filters, it has fan speed control and fan LED control for multiple fans. It's also better for carrying around due to the carrying handles on top, and cable management is slightly better.

Why did anyone vote for the CM 690 II Advanced? It seems that there are lots of CM 690 II fanboys, just like there are too many Corsair fanboys. The 690 II is an excellent case but not as good as the Storm Sniper. The HAF 922 is the best case for under $100. It's essentially a Storm Sniper with different externals. They removed the side fan and some side mesh (which is actually a good thing for airflow), two USB ports, the fan speed controller and some dust filters. They also made the front of the case more "traditional" which isn't a good thing but oh well.
