Do I have enough psu to add a physx gpu?

Thread Starter
I have an old 8800 gt that I would love to throw into my sig rig for physx. Do I have enough power for it? I'm running 3 sata drives, my 5970 (potentially oc'd) and no other devices aside from some fans. CPU oc'd at 1.30625v

About the same? You have a 5770, he has a 5970. Big difference.

@OP, I honestly wouldn't. Your probably pushing 600-700w full load. Adding another gpu might push your psu too hard.

I'd go for it and see if it crashes or not. (if it does, it's your psu)

You could try it, but I think that would be pushing that PSU quite a bit more than you should. I probably wouldn't try if it were my system, but that is just me.

yeah. You'll still have 200 watts sitting idle.
