looking for a street racing game

Thread Starter
hey sup. I've been looking for the past couple days for a game that is about street racing.

I don't want something like need for speed underground or anything like that, something more like improptu highway racing.

I played a game a really while back on the PS2 called "Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero" iirc and i loved it. It was just open highway racing with car mods etc etc. Do you guys know of something with good graphics, supports eyefinity and does not have arcady gameplay like need for speed...THANKS

Something like this: YouTube- Houston's Fastes (Street Racing) but a lot less dangerous

EDIT: MUST SUPPORT EYEFINITY

Eyefinity is driver related. Games do not need to support it for it to work.

Onto the game selection. If you are not looking for something such as NFS, then GRID is definitely out of the question.

Test Drive Unlimited IMO should be right up your ally. Plus, Test Drive Unlimited 2 has a scheduled release date of September 21, 2010.

Eyefinity?

From what I can tell from ATI's page on Eyefinity, it'll work on any game.

As such, I would suggest Burnout Paradise. Unlike other games in the series, the entire city seems to be able to be used as the course.

I love DIRT 2, i already have it, however it is not street racing.
I have grid too, does not support the aspect ratio for eyefinity, basically looks like fat midgets

Don't like burnout paradise at all, very arcadeish

I'll look at TDU

Test drive looks really good, not quite what i wanted but close. I want something that is preferable just highway it that's possible.

I know it was on the PS2 called tokyo extreme racer zero, I can't find it for PC tho. However they made an xbox 360 version in the last few year that is EXACTLY the same, just with more cars and better graphics, but the name escapes me.

Something like this but for PC and better GFX:

That game looks pretty arcadish to me. What do you mean by arcadish in this context? I'm getting the feeling we have different views on the word.

I used to love that game on the dreamcast, I still play it through an Emulator too from time to time. I've not played anything on the PC that is like it though. but TDU on the freeways will come close to what your looking for (can't mod the cars like TER though.) TDU is also an awesome game. But you may want to hold off a bit as TDU2 will be with us soon
