I have a dual channel board with 2 x 512mb sticks in dual channel. I have an extra slot for more RAM. If I add another stick, will I still be in dual channel?

No,you will no longer have dual channel if you add more memory.

What's there to bump? The question was answered, you won't have dual channel memory if you add a third stick.

its weird to have only 3 memory slots on your mobo especially if its dual channel....but yes dual channel will not be supported using 3 stiks of ram
