Whoop-De-Doo. If it was authentic then it would be on speedtest.net and not your own domain, nor would it be missing part of the left side.

Kindly shunt off now.

haha, yes. cable companies are one of the biggest scam artists in todays age. heres my quoted 35mbps down line i pay $60 for... i call bull****!

heres my 35mbps "winternet"

road runner cable ftl. how do i have a higher upload than download?

it fluctuates so much throughout the day, and is super****ty after 5pm because they added like 40 some houses to my tract like 2 months ago. and didnt bother to upgrade the shared line. this is plugged into the modem. and through lan is the same.

i cant wait for fios to get here.

op, what modem do you have? modem might not be compatible w/ new speeds. make sure the otp tech sees your modem (if its compatible) is provisioned for the new speeds. good luck

There are so many variables that can go into this more than likely the company isnt lieing to you but you probably have an issue. The first thing to check for is to double check and see how many times your cable line is split and make sure it has the proper amplification on the line. Also if there is a cable amplifier and it is not a bi-direction amp (Like the ones for tvs) that could also cause huge issues. I dont think its your router but more than likely a single issue I would call and repeatedly complain If they don't do anything ask to speak with a manager. If where you live then can run a new line directly to your modem that would be the most ideal situation.

Trust me on this I'm not only a certified network tech But I also know the way the cable networks work pretty much inside and out. The one thing to try real quick would be a power cycle But first take your modem completely disconnect it and if it has a battery backup remove it.

Then if you can when you plug your modem back in try to get it plugged straight into a wall no splitters or anything sharing its line if you can. Then plug everything back into power by importance. ex Cable modem, Router, PC.

If that doesn't work make them run a new line, and try to get a new modem while your at it. Also if your modem is docsis1.0or 1.1 your modem is probably outdated anyway Were finally up to docsis 3.0 yummy wideband /druel.

Wow your connection is crappy...let me try.

Not bad...it's got my upload speed right but my download speed seems faster...when I download files, I can download at 1.4MB/s and sometimes 1.5MB/s for the entire length of the download depending on if the server can handle that speed. Unfortunately, I don't know what speed I have from Comcast...I haven't checked my cable bill or even changed my service in 7 or so years now. They keep putting me on the new stuff and never raising my bill so I don't care.

Also, OP, let the technician come out. They provider won't do anything until they have the technician come out.

OP - others have said it, and I'll say it. Have tech come out and change modem...Heard that from a tech that I had come out so many times I started to know him by first name. Rebooting didn't work in my case. Modem change was the fix, then the bandwidth cap became a problem....

But of course, many other factors can come into play here, start with the modem.

I had to bug my ISP for over week to get my crap upgrade on dsl. It turned out they just hadn't it upgraded it in their system. Keep bugging them until it's fixed. Have them debit your account if it turns out it's a screw up on their end.

I pay for 25Mbs, with cable it depends on the time of the day. I get 30Mbs early in the morning and around 7Mbs in the peak hours. It's because the network is shared with other customers.
