Suggestions for gaming CPU? - Page 2

Two things I believe people forget to factor for their build. What kind of monitor am I going to use. Then and most importantly how do I want my build to perform on the current games that are out(or you own) and you should really look at the games that have been announced or are rumored and do your best and gauage how you want your build to perform. A used 720 BE can be found for 60 bucks, paired with an open box motherboard from newegg for about 140 shipped.

Thats 200 bucks of awesomeness, and you could sell those ancient 8800's. Get a 5770 with the money you get from them. DDR2 is worth more than ever now, so selling that could net you with some profit, use that for some DDR3.

Does your motherboard support PhenomII? If so, I'd grab a 955.

No No No. Do not go X6, especially if you just bought that motherboard and are mainly gaming with this comp.
