Wth xfx???

ok, i started a support ticket 2 days ago(over 48 hours) about my problem with my xfx gtx 275 scoaring lower then a gtx 260(scoring 9100 in vantage where i should be getting 12K+) and still no response from them. it has never been more then 24hours, never before they respond and its over 48 hours and still no response. I don't get it at all. WTH could be taking so long???

I had a great experience with their customer support. The plastic shroud on one of my GPUs cracked while transporting the rig. I opened a ticket not expecting much and got a response immediately. The shipped me out a new cooler for the card and when FedEx wouldn't deliver it without signature verification, I replied to my ticket and they contacted FedEx to tell them there was no signature required.

In all honesty, I hate to say this, but I work in customer support and if I received a ticket like the one you are describing, I would probably put it off too (unless you were more descriptive than just saying its not getting more points than a lower end card). It could be a number of issues. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers from nVidia? In GPU-Z are the correct clocks reported? I understand that you should be getting better results. When I had only 1 HD5770 I was still getting 11K+ points in Vantage. I am just saying that since this could ultimately be more of a software issue than a hardware issue, they might just not be addressing it cuz they're not sure how to.

EDIT: Or it could just be priority based. Since the card is working and just not getting enough points on a benchmark application they didn't design, your issue could have less priority than say someone whose card is completely fried and needs to be replaced.

this as well, did you try everything?
1. using new drivers
2. rolling back to old drivers
3. uninstall, drive sweep than reinstall
4. clean format of windows

gotta try those steps first

XFX were awesome with the RMA on my dead 4890...not sure they consider benchmark discrepancy to be as crucial as hardware failure. Maybe because there's thousands of things other than faulty hardware that could cause that...?

i just had to call them, they want me to test it in sf4 and dmc4 benchmarks to see what it is pulling in fps.

i am sorry if what i said in my op wouldnt get you to actually do your job(in this situation). A gtx 275 scoaring lower in vantage then a gtx 260 is a big problem. If you dont know that, well again, im sorry. my PNY scores 2K+ more then my xfx so something is up. I am running the 2 tests they want me to with the xfx, then with pny. The correct clocks are being reported, same drivers on bolth cards. Plus my xfx runs 25C hotter then my pny at same fan speeds. pny peaks at 70c at 50% and xfx peaks at 95+C at same fan speed.

And i have never had a problem with being ignored on there support tickets(when i talked to CS person, he apologized as they ARE supposed to answer within 24hours as there policy). XFX is an awesome company and i am not dogging them.
