What one should I get? I'm going to push my quad to around 3.4ghz+ hopefully, and run @ 1920x1200, any advice?

What would give better performance as a single card? I have to agree with Zealot, I can always add another 5850 when the prices drop, that should keep me on the edge of GPU's for a while.

Currently running a 5850 on bfbc2. No problems at all on max settings. Temps stay fairly cool as well.

I'm not sure about a 5850...

But 2x 5770s gave me flickering..and a crappy picture.. so when I traded my cards for a new 470.. I noticed some nice eye candy, and I was at 1280x1040!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Check my sig monitor.. Nice resolution, huh?

I play the game DX11, HSAO off, Bloom enabled, settings maxed, 1xAA, 1xAF..and maintain 55FPS constant (with some low fps drops in intense battles, and I'm stock).

So at 1920xXXXX you can add some AA/AF or turn on HBAO!

EDIT #2: With a fan curve set in MSI-AB, I never go above 72*C in BC2..and I game for hours!!!

he cant crossfire with that motherboard.

it depends on what you want. 470 costs more but has better performance, and it will continue to get better as drivers mature.

5850 costs less, and is a great performer, but it is pretty much maxed out when it comes to driver improvements.

also. if dx11 takes off, and tessellation sees more use. the 470 is much better at it.

If money isnt an option, get the 470. otherwise the 5850 if you dont want to spend as much.

Remember how 5770s got a 20% performance boost with better drivers.... when they were just released? *This was off a review from OCN, and I think it was the great and almighty Contagion who did it..and he now owns a 470!*

Remember, 470s drivers are in beta (pre-mature)....There is hope for a performance increase... So keep that in mind!

I have a gtx470 clocked to 800/1600/1950 and I run that game everything maxed 4xaa 16xaf 1920x1080 hbao OFF. I get 40-70fps constant. Usually floats around 45-50.
