Which one? Right now, I'm slightly leaning toward the 5850. Any opinions?

I've been green for many years and I wish I would have went red.
Much more bang for your buck, they just don't fold well.
The 5850 is the way to go!

5850 no questions asked. Or a GTX 465 that you are willing to gamble on unlocking.

Care about physx and other Nvidia-type features (water effects in Just Cause 2, for example), then obviously the GTX470.

As far as raw gaming and efficient architecture go, though, ATI wins this round. If you just want to play games standardly with high fps (maybe lower min... again, mostly a driver thing) at the lowest cost and aren't too picky about using things like nHancer and whatnot, then ATI is the way to go. Can't believe how good of deals one can get on 5850s (esp used) now...

I really dont think you could be more wrong,i have yet to see a gtx 470/480 running at 1ghz core,i may be wrong but i have not heard of a single instance.

Edit:

And dont get me wrong,im not one sided at all,if nvidia get together a dual gpu version card then damn right im having one.
