LOL I agree that the raw power would be cool, but I have a SLI motherboard so I have to stick to Nvidia for now... From what I have seen the latest cards for nvidia are running really hot, which is not something Im looking for. I was looking a t a GTX 465 and I thought it could be a good deal because it can be unlocked to the same stream processes as a GTX470... thats not bad.

I never ran a DX11 game in DX10 but of course they should look better. I do know Crysis in DX9 looks worse than in DX10.

Personally, I have an HD 5770 1GB which is a D11 card, and I saw an image of DX11 vs DX10.

It was this image:

Notice the gas mask on the nVidia DX10 card vs. the ATi DX11 card?

Time to upgrade unless you plan on playing your current list of games for the rest of your life.

Yeah I have seen this image, all you have to do is google DX11 to see it. I only want to the games to run smooth. For example, in BFBC2 I like to snipe and if the FPS are too low it could ruin my shot... have you guys noticed the games running smoother on DX11?

If I'm not mistaken

Runing in DX11 mode = slower performance. Not faster.

The same goes for DX10 games. Running in DX10 mode = slower than DX9.

If you upgrading anyways, sure go ahead and DX11. I would not suggest an upgrade just to get DX11. That would be a waste.
If you can play the games with your current cards, then continue to enjoy them and save that money for future cards.

Just my 2 cents

I would say stay with it if you don't need it... If you can't afford it then its not going to be worth your money. Unless your games suffer. If you have a decent job and don't care then an upgrade is good to improve your FPS in future games you plan on playing.
